The new Astonishing X-Men cover. How cool is this?!
I saw this after Rolling Stone posted this on their facebook page - and as expected, there were a lot of homophobic comments underneath. They were complaining about Marvel not keeping their original ideas - ‘hey why not make batman a drag queen whilst we’re at it?’ and that they are tired of having the sin of homosexuality forced down their throats.
Dear ignorant assholes -
They’re not keeping their “original ideas” because luckily times have changed and being gay is just as normal as being straight, so why not have a gay couple on the cover? You wouldn’t complain if it was straight couple. And as for having it “shoved down your throats” - how do you think non-heterosexuals feel about having heterosexuality shoved down theirs? It’s 2012. Act like it.
